The Power of Essential Oils

Honeysuckle and lavender in the summer,
Cinnamon and clover in the fall,
Smells carry us from season to season,
overwhelming the senses, uplifting the spirit,
even triggering past memories.

Aromas and essential oils can also promote health and healing.
Certain essential oils have anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties.

Essential Oils can be used for many afflictions, sprains, muscle relaxation,
stress and insomnia.

Do you have a favorite essential oilšŸ¤”...what is it? And... used for?.

I have had very good experiences with essential oils. And I absolutely believe that can aid health.

Just a quick note. I have severe asthma. And even though essential oils are natural and wonderful, some are quite strong...and, for me, a few triggered an asthma attack (for example, tea tree oil).

Also, generally, essential oils diffused into a room can be difficult or even harmful to pets...

A scent of the oil is fine, but I've come home already with the odor of someone's essential oil diffused house on my clothes. Not a fan of diffusers.

I'm tempted to try them. Years ago I had a diffuser. For the time being, I only use wax melts in a burner - the kind that has a tea candle under it. I like the berry scent best, but I only use it now and then, esp. when I've cooked something that left a lingering odor.

I don't burn oils but I like fragrances like frankincense and myrrh, sandalwood, and patchouli. I like most woodsy smells like the smell of fire burning in a fire place. (I'm not sure what fragrance that falls under). I use a Glade diffuser at home. I'm dangerous with anything that requires a match.
