Note this dated 1994 video is 1 of 4, each about 15 minutes. I watched all 4. More easily continued from Youtube.
I've lived in the Asian third world and experienced such. The video is worth watching because it will give Westerners a perspective they never get. It was the 1990's when this idealist counterculture peon abandoned any notion of trying to change the world system so decided as a person without any hope of influence, to just enjoy myself during my brief existence. To live such an effective life, I had to continue being part of the same consumer system as best I could and that was mainly continuing in my electronics tech career. On this board I will continue to be critical of wealth seekers, endless infrastructure growth and population growth, the capital of which are the Wall Streets of the world.
I will also state that I stopped studying these destructive world issues or politics, so don't have much to say about much of it anymore including solutions. It is and should be the task of new generations. The world is on a runaway path to doom that could come in a list of horrible ways. Those wealth seekers in charge will be the last to change to a sustainable harmonious course to a world with far less humans. Or tragically extinction taking the rest of the incredible life on this rare blue water world with it.
