We have a 4 day trip planned for our Anniversary in August - the last night of which is in Knaresborough - so expect more. Hopefully a night shot or 2 :)

It's in Yorkshire just east of Harrogate.

102 miles by car from Liverpool.
I knew it was in Yorkshire because of all the Catherine Cookson novels I read while lying about in West Virginia. Certainly not from any old boring geography class. Davey was probably in England reading novels set in the American south at about that same time.

Nah...I didn't. At 70mph, it takes just over an hour to get to Knaresborough by car. You could have walked it in no time!
Besides Yorkshire is one of my favourite places...where the Bronte sisters lived ad where the beautiful moors are. Loved our horse trekking holidays there.
