The Solstice

Happy Solstice to you who practice these events.

Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere and the
Winter Solstice in the Southern Hemisphere, are both
on the same day, today 21st June and will be in December.

This got me to thinking, should it be affected by the
International Dateline?

The Meridian has always been at Greenwich in London,
for thousands of years, but the International Date Line
has only been around since 1884.

From Google:
The international date line, established in 1884, passes
through the mid-Pacific Ocean and roughly follows a 180
degrees longitude north-south line on the Earth. It is located
halfway around the world from the prime meridian — the 0
degrees longitude line in Greenwich, England

Should the Souther Hemisphere one and all others affected
by the line, not be until the 22nd June and December.

Silly question I know, generally it doesn't really matter and I
should get a hobby, but it might be relevant to, Fortune Tellers,
or those involved with the Occult.

Mike.

Mike, that is one of those questions that if you think about it too long and too hard it will drive you bonkers

Don't some pagan cults sacrifice a straw man on this day? Or am I thinking of something else?

I agree with Lee - these 'changes' make it difficult for time-impaired folks like me to comprehend. If not for Alexa and my laptop's WIFI and Google, I would be clueless as to date and time!

Summer Solstice on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 5:55 AM

Here, it is sunny with a predicted high of 90F - definitely Summer! (I'll be hiding inside with the air-conditioners running at high noon! )
