The strangest thing happened on my phone

My real phone is a Samsung android. I still have my old iPhone 6S and when at home, I use it with the home wifi for internet browsing. Yesterday, while watching a YT video on the iPhone, a picture from the phone gallery suddenly appeared on top of (sort of juxtaposed) the video. It just popped up. The video kept playing in the background. When I realized what it was ("That looks like my house picture!"), I backed up and it disappeared off the screen.

So weird! Anybody know why/how that happened??

Somehow the two phones have been synchronised?

As far as I know, no sync. I have never done anything to make that happen.

Also, I have never established a cloud usage. Does that automatically happen? IDK. The reason I switched from the old iPhone to the android was because the iPhone deactivated itself; everything on it was lost, there was nothing in a cloud and I had not backed it up.
 
Things like that happen to me on my IPhone. I accidentally touch something is my explanation. Yes I get pop ups like what you said. iPhone 11.
