The Sweet Spot

We have reached the sweet spot in weather, not too cold, not to hot, just right. I have all my windows open. I don’t need the heat on or the air on. All my window air conditioners have been removed and stored on the shed. Hoses are taken off. I will have money for a couple weeks on utilities, a much needed relief.

In the mean time, the weather is perfect for me. (Hmm, how many of you thought this thread was about something else 🙄 🤣).

Isn't it funny how "sweet spots" differ...we like hot weather and also enjoy the fall when it gets cooler but detest winter. Others are the opposite...lol.

Think about everyone loves autumn, though. Our sweet spots are coming now and will be here till the end of Dec. (probably) and then it will get too cold for only a couple of hopefully short months of winter.

Usually, the last of Feb. the wild Magnolia trees are starting to bud out, the violets and other wildflowers are making their appearances across the ground and the Sweet Olive bushes, which have been blooming all winter, are about to rest. That's a very nice time, too. Guess it is another "sweet spot" now that I think of it. Interesting thread here, Aneeda!

Our "sweet spot" has pretty much ended this month. We are in a "roller coaster" series of warm and cold fronts...with some mornings near freezing, and some daytime highs in the lower 80's. We've used both the AC and furnace this month, and I even fired up our outdoor wood furnace last week and let it run for a couple of days, to make sure its working good before the really cold weather hits. The long range weather forecasts predict that the Midwest will bounce all over the place this Winter.

Not so sweet here but it depends on what a person prefers weatherwise. I'm hoping for a record breaking warm winter. Not because I hate snow, but because it's better for the virus if temps are warm and people are able to breath fresh air instead of recirculated indoor air.

We are enjoying ... SNOW ... this week! The temperature is above freezing so, so far, it is melting quickly.

As to the OP's comment: (Hmm, how many of you thought this thread was about something else 🙄 🤣) ...

... you made me look! 😉

We've never stopped having our windows open all summer.. it's a thing here..we don't have the bugs that you guys do, and we don't have AC in this house ( most uk homes don't).. lately it's been pretty cold in the mornings and in the evenings and steady temps of around mid 60's during the day... with some sun and some rain

ABCDEF(G)HIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ........WHATEVER. LOLOLOL.

You folks do realize that a guitar has a "G" string, and it really is just a string with no dollar bills in it. :)

A guitar (in standard tuning) is tuned E A D G B E.

True story, on a business trip to Silicon Valley, I took my wife along. We liked to go up to San Francisco for dinner. We were walking along a street that had a number of strip joints, and in one case thee was a guy in a tuxedo standing outside one hollering "we got goyles (girls) in here". He came up to my wife and I and said that it would be a great show that we would enjoy. I asked him if there were any people playing guitar in there, and apparently, they had a house band, so there was. I commented that we knew that there was at least one 'G' string in the house and then we walked on.
