The topic of Milk, anything about it...

I love milk but I go through phases. I always have it for cooking but don't drink it on the regular. When I do just pour a glass to go with cake, cookies or pie I can really taste the sweetness of the milk. I buy 2%, can only imagine how full fat would taste, like melted ice cream, almost.

I have not tried the plant based products, if I want milk I want real milk.

I used to drink about 2 litres a week then for no real reason that amount dwindled to almost nil.
Sometimes leaving milk in the fridge until it went bad.
Stopped buying it.
Have rekindled my love of full cream milk and there is always a litre bottle in the fridge. I find ice cold milk to be really delicious.

Very creamy, one can taste the creaminess/fat on the lips.

1 litre of milk (a quart?) a day - on oatmeal, coffee latte, a glass with mid afternoon snack and a glass at bedtime. Many women in my family had Osteoporosis (they were lactose intolerant and avoided milk.)

Lady Emeraude: I am lactose intolerant too. I take 1/2 lactaid tablet. The tablets should be available at any Pharmacy. I bought some from Walmart USA a few years ago. It is marketed as "Dairy Digestive"

I like milk but I don't usually drink it plain. I use a mug of heated up whole milk to make my morning coffee, and I use cold whole milk on my little bit of sugar-free breakfast cereal. I would prefer to get the ultra-pasteurized whole milk, but there are no Kroger's where I live now, and I haven't found it anywhere else.

Milk. Do you try to drink a certain amount of glasses daily?
Or, it's not your thing?
I haven't had glasses of milk since I've been an adult, don't care to drink it. I keep a small bottle of 2% milk on hand in case I want to make a chocolate egg cream at home, or add a drop to an egg omelet. I rarely eat cereal, but if I have Corn Flakes, I'll use Rice Milk on them.

I love milk and drink it with anything sweet, cookies, chocolate, pancakes, cereal, and in my coffee, 😍

but I'm always trying to give it up.

My vegan son has told me how sad it is for the dairy cows to have their calves taken away so they can keep giving milk and how they stand in their stalls being milked by machines their entire lives.😥

Currently, I use a splash of half & half in coffee, cereal. I think I might have to go back to completely fat free as on my last blood tests, my triglicerides (sp?) were high. Not that I use a lot, I really don't. Stopped drinking milk as a beverage years ago. Prefer water.

I've had a strange relationship with dairy products as a whole. Mother, grandmother and sibling, all lactose intolerant. Father and I, no problems whatsoever. Even doctors said it was a strange occurrence. Off boff, no worries.

However, it caused some mornings upsets with breakfast of Rice Puffs, cut-up banana and a soupçon of fine sugar lol! Had to be replaced by toasts for mornings and enjoy my bowl of cereals at night. Still do.

I'm crazy about cheeses, can't get enough. This love came after attending several cheese festivals with parents. Oh yummy!

I feel bad for people who can't enjoy it and usually give them a link to medications that can help them to continue their enjoyment.

Personally, I can't resist a warm slice of cookies and cream chocolate cake accompanied by a tall glass (about 10 oz) of cold semi-skimmed milk.

As per medical situation above, due to it being weird, I just can't take milk first thing on an empty stomach 🤣🤣🤣go figure!
