Just finished watching the trials of Gabriel Fernandez on Netflix.
It was so heart wrenching I couldn't stop crying, the saddest part of it was that the power that be could have prevented that sweet young man's death.
 

Even more pathetic than the kid's parents is Child "Protective" Services - who did absolutely nothing to prevent the boy's torture & death, even though they were notified many times about what the parents were doing. These cases repeat themselves over & over. And they are immune from any charges.

So I learnt, it's just shocking that CPS gets away with brushing these cases under the rug. It just breaks my heart.
