The US Senate passed Budget

The important issue is how much is the government going to be spending, and how do they intend to finance those expenditures. If this is just more of pushing the bills further down the road for future resolution, Congress is playing with dynamite. If this National Debt isn't brought down to more manageable levels, it is going to be the 800lb. gorilla that crushes us all. Those who have any savings in the bank have seen the effects for several years now, as interest rates have reduced any savings advantages to nearly zero. If the Fed were to try to raise interest rates back to a normal 4 or 5% range, the Interest on our National Debt would consume most of the Federal Budget.
 
It's a two year deal... No more chance of government shutdowns.. no more hostage taking.. the Freedom Caucus has been hogtied.. That's a good thing IMO... There are other ways to solve problems without constant crisis and drama.
 

Government will continue to spend as long as there are lobbyists paying our elected officials. This 2-year deal had increased Defense Department funding and increased domestic funding. A number of items were put out there to offset these two increases. One is the elimination of the government subsidized farm crop insurance program. Corporate farms should have the same risks as any other business.

Conservative talk show hosts were pretty upset over the bipartisan negotiated budget. This pushes future budget fighting past the 2016 election cycle. Probably a good thing for the GOP. The hard right wing would have felt emboldened by the new Speaker and had no conscience about shutting down the government. That would have been just one more thing which would push more and more voters to the Democratic Party.
 
That is hard to believe if folks just consider who has been spending the money all these years. It has not been the Republicans except to avoid the shut downs that really are deserved. Too bad the President is not taking stands on these over runs each year. We have only had a Republican controlled congress for the last few months. As long as Reid held the Senate of congress the Republicans could do nothing.

Look back to Bill Clinton when he had a Republican controlled congress. Spending was cut way down and the debt got paid back a fair amount.
 
This US Budget is all about the election and the GOP hoping to have a chance at the White House.

How the main stream media and the Freedom Caucus have been hogtied by this we will never know.
