Probably all of us have heard about the great city buried somewhere deep beneath the ocean that existed before recorded history. It was a superior race of humans. They were more/differently evolved with a culture that was loving, highly intelligence and empathic. The "Sleeping prophet "Edgar Cayce" while in trance spoke many times about Atlantis.
Now no cheating...just from memory, what do remember about Atlantis. Is Atlantis going to rise again? ( somehow sounds familiar )

The tale has been speculated on and embellished over the centuries beyond Plato's description. There's also a more recently conceived tale of Lemuria (Mu) in the Pacific buy a man named Churchwood.

i wouldn't invest a whole a lot of energy in debating that the fabled Atlantis itself is 'real'. Suspect it is more like folklore that grew from oral histories that talked about civilizations rising and falling and it is a good metaphor for the facts of how that has happened around the globe in human history. No way to be sure, especially since Ocean exploration so far behind space exploration.

Archeologists keep finding evidence of cities that were thought to be fictional (including one from Hindu texts off their west coast damn near exactly where the text said) and that are older than what they thought the oldest human settlements were. (Same as Astronomers and Astrophysicists keep finding solar masses and exo-planets that defy the limits about size, composition etc that they thought could not be defied. ) There is a plateau in S. America, i've been trying to find the YT again with no luck. that has rock figures of animals from other continents, some of them you can tell could have been 'suggested' by pareidolia but since they were carved many centuries before recorded interactions between continents---why/how would some primitive soul in S. America 'see' or conceive of an animal never found there???

Humans are a strange lot we both crave more tech innovations and cling to the notion that some past time life was 'better', tho many first world people don't do well in rustic conditions.
