The Ventures rock and roll band

I think I remember that club started transitioning to 8-tracks and cassettes too. All of me and my friends listened to the Ventures and the Beach Boys.

Columbia Record Club? You could get ten albums for something like 99 cents and then you were stuck with them for the rest of your life unless you figured out the magic words to get them to stop sending records and billing you.

That's the one! And my grandmother never figured out how to cancel her subscription.
