The Waltons Television Show

My friend bought the box set and we've been binge-watching The Waltons...that wholesome TV show from the 70's. It really is addictive as you slide into the pace of each episode. With Mom and Dad, there were 7 of us growing up in my own family, so I can relate to many of the themes.

Did you ever watch The Waltons growing up?

Sure did... watched it with my grandma when I did sleepovers there. The Waltons and Little House on the Prairie.

Oh yes of course... not so much growing up because it wasn't on when I was growing up.. but by the time I was married and in the 70's and in my early 20's I watched them all...

..I can still see episodes most days on one of my many channels on my network..

Who was your favourite... I pretty much liked them all.. but Daddy... Grandpa and Ben if I had to choose... oh and Ike Godsey...actually he was probably my favourite

Yes.

I loved the show so much that I bought and viewed all of the 9 years from Amazon. I still have all 9 DVDs in my bedroom drawer. Good shows with good solid family and community values. Wouldn't be shown on TV today as they did not have any perverts in the family. Just regular folks. Oh and by the way, the show didn't have murder, rape and violence so nobody would watch it today. Folks have become awful blood thirsty lately.

Goodnight Jim Bob!

I watched it every Sunday in the late 70's. You will be hard-pressed to find this in the box set you have been watching.

Loved that show, especially when they were small and all growing up. INSP took it off about a year ago.I wish I could buy boxed set.
I liked John boy he was a good big brother.

I think it's time to take it out and watch again!
