The whole pregnant daughter thing can get nerve wracking

I just got a text from my pregnant daughter that her doctor sent her to the hospital because her blood pressure is too high. She said he's just doing it to be on the safe side. She said " I'm only telling you this because you live so far out in the country. DO NOT tell anyone else." So I ask her if I should drive over to the hospital and she says no she only wanted to let me know and does not want me there yet. Really this makes me nervous and worried.

The last time my oldest daughter gave birth I caught the baby LITERALLY.

I have 4 daughters and I must say that that the most nervous time for me as a mother is the births and the last month of their pregnancy. I still have 2 daughters that are taking more college and haven't been pregnant. I don't know if everyone else stresses out like I feel right now or not.

My daughter had a completely uneventful pregnancy and I DID catch my granddaughter. The doctor asked "who wants to catch?" Her husband went pale, her father went pale and I jumped for joy.

My granddaughter had a terrible pregnancy....it was touch and go for a long time whether she'd be able to carry the baby to full term. First of all it was get her to three pounds, and then we were holding out for four pounds, five and six pounds passed, thank goodness, and she was born almost full term at 7 pounds. It killed me that I wasn't there with her every minute......she needed her Grandma. There were a lot of grey hairs.

I really am not crazy about suspense. I'm glad your granddaughter's birth turned out well :)

Okay it looks as if I have a new grandchild coming into the world soon. I have to get ready and drive to the city now.

Congratulations BlunderWoman and many good wishes to your daughter and new child for a safe and easy birth.

Thank you so much, but I had my car keys in my hand & ready to go out the door when my daughter called me and said it's probably going to be tomorrow and she wants me to wait until her husband calls me. See? Nerve wracking.
