These are the states requiring people to wear masks when out in public

Now I live in Tennesee. Did live in Michigan.
More states have mandated the use of masks and face coverings while in public.
After states lifted some coronavirus restrictions, an uptick in cases has led to new restrictions in many, The number of cases is rising in more than half of them.

Look at this state, Hawaii

Both customers and employees at essential businesses are required to wear cloth face coverings. Establishments must limit the number of customers allowed in and keep them six feet apart.
Anyone who violates those rules could face a fine of up to $5,000, or up to a year in prison if found guilty, according to Hawaii Gov. David Ige's order.

Kansas requires it but they're not enforcing it.

Well if they're requiring them & not enforcing it then it's not gonna matter anyway. You can require all you want. But until the punishment fits the crime they will do what they want.
 
Perhaps if they decided to charge a person with 1st degree murder if someone around them died because they weren't masked up maybe that would change things. I know I sound heartless but dammit I don't think innocent lives should be taken because some selfish ahole won't wear a mask.

Well, I read or heard somewhere about approaches to different topics.. like if a person isn't wearing shoes, employees/owners simply don't allow them into the stores, businesses, etc. I don't know why the same can't be done regarding masks.

The city buses, for example, changed their signs to read WEAR MASKS, there are free masks at the front of the bus, so why can't the drivers refuse to let people on if they refuse to comply? and similar with stores and other businesses.
 
Well the problem with this is people are bringing weapons out & threatening to kill people that's why they don't wanna mess with it. I don't understand what the hell has happened with people that one little tiny mask makes them wanna bring their shotgun to the store & threaten their way in. I mean puhlease! It's a mask. Nobody's killing them. They ask one simple thing & everyone's freakin out.

We are living in a world filled with selfish people who are only concerned with themselves. They don't give a crap about anybody else. As long as they are not inconvenienced or made to feel uncomfortable. But these same people will be bawling like babies & whining their heads off when they're in the hospital fighting for their lives.
