Not sure if I should post this here or in Days Gone By. Today I was laying across the bed with my iPad playing Elvis songs on UTube. It brought back a lot of old memories to say the least.
I love music, always have. Many genres. However, when I was a teen, I remember listening to staticky AM radio, do you? We would listen all day just to hear them play our favorite songs. Then, the transistor radios. We could now carry around our staticky little radios but finding the right spot for good reception was sometimes tricky. We would also buy our 45's at a local mart when there was a record we had to have. If I remember correctly, they sold for $.75. How disappointing to get it home and play it only to have it "skip". We would take it back and return it for another.
I was thinking today, isn't it amazing that I can lay here with this small device and play almost any song I can think of? A song from years gone by enters my mind and I can play it in a matter of seconds! It is nice to do this and allow it to take you back in time for a couple minutes remembering those simpler times, away from all the problems of today.
