Things Millennials Are Accused Of Killing Off.

. . . common sense.

And us baby boomers -- if they had their way. Our whole generation, apparently, is responsible for the millennials having to live with mom and pop -- or, as the only alternative, getting a job and making their own way in the world.

I'm not buying this- how "Melennials" are doing X, Y, Z. Supposedly they are workaholics and never take vacations. But then they don't want to work 9-5????? They don't buy diamonds,because....The diamond industry has struggled to woo millennials to the luxury item, with companies like De Beers slashing prices by 9% to reach out to the generation, which prefers to spend money on experiences like travel rather than expensive goods. Of course, they don't travel, because they don't take vacations???? So how do they get to the "travel" experience??????
This is a bunch of bull.

I beg to differ regarding milennials not traveling. Both of my kids travel but they always travel with a group of friends. When I traveled, I pack backed alone. Now, my kids go to Mexico, etc. with a large group of their friends; maybe 20 in total. They don't seem to want to travel on their own. This is something that I don't understand!

So absurd how "they" assign blame for changes in society to certain generations. Anyway, my children (millennials) are married, own homes, and love to travel.

I was surprised when I asked someone recently if they were going to buy their child a car before they went cross country to college, and they said they didn't know if she would want a car. Apparently some of the millenials think they'll just use public transportation or Uber when they need it and thus leave a cleaner foot print on the planet.

OK, I don't really think too many of them feel like this but if they do, it's fine with me. I have no plans of giving up my car.

Yup, "they". from what I could gather, "They" are survey takers from Contiki, The Wall St Journal, The Guardian and I guess others. Sometimes I read polls and then find out the number of responses were so minimal, they were meaningless.

Although there is no consensus on the exact years the actual generations begin and end, millennials are usually born between 1980 through 1998. They were born before computers and cell phones became widespread. But it's important to note that there are really three groups of millennials: those that graduated before the Great Recession, those that graduated during the Great Recession, and post-recession graduates. This has directly impacted the average millennial net worth.
