Thinking of taking classes through OASIS

I am thinking of registering at the above site, to take some classes, locally. There are many general interest topics, geared for us older folks. Book discussions, movie discussions, yoga, foodie stuff.

Classes are held here, at the same place I go for my grief group, That is how I heard of it. Some are single sessions (about $10) up to 5 or 6 sessions ($40 or so). It is all seasonal, so I am looking at the fall groups now. Have found a couple so far.
 

I usually go to several Oasis classes a term where I live, very enjoyable & informative, huge selection here, every kind of topic imaginable. Some local field trips & a couple of longer bus trips . Over the years have been to some great places in NM with them. They have many volunteer opportunities too.
 
We are never to old to learn. I went back to the community college that I graduated from the year that I retired. A lot of the other Troopers were asking me, why? I told them that the better question would be, why not?

The course that I took was “Death Investigation.” The course included; How to process a death scene, how to determine time of death, collecting and securing evidence and other forensics and what the roles are of the Coroner and the Forensic Pathologist, along with observing and taking notes during the autopsy. Nothing anyone here would probably be interested in.
 
I have been looking through the class list for fall. Sad thin is the ones I am most interested in from the current local list, over lap other appointments I have made for the next few weeks. Will keep looking
