This Morning's Coffee

Yesterday I cleaned my coffee pot. This morning after I made coffee my water alarm went off as it lies on the floor in the kitchen. I rushed to the kitchen to see coffee all over the countertop and some on the floor. I poured out the overflowing pot and notice bubbles in the pot. Then it dawned on me I left about a quarter of the pot filled with soap to soak last night. No harm done other than wasting three cups of coffee and making a mess.

I've done similar. It's no fun cleaning up coffee that's all over the counter and floor.

Just happened yesterday, sans the soap. New coffeemaker. Dumb me put the coffeepot in WRONG! How's that for brains?

Been there, done that!

We now have a Keurig (as do several SF members) and I've forgotten to put a cup under it and had coffee run out all over the place. I've also forgotten to put coffee it the pod and wondered why the coffee was so weak.

I'm not real sharp before I've had my coffee in the morning, so preparing coffee in the morning can be a bit dicey.

(Yeah, yeah, yeah... I could prepare it the night before, but the grounds might get stale overnight or something sitting out in the open.)
