This was definitely not the way I expected Christmas to turn out.

I was very excited to visit my daughter for the Christmas holidays but things didn't go as planned.
The hubby wasn't feeling up to par on Thanksgiving and decided to go to the doctor after the holiday.

Problem #1. We have no doctor. The doctor we had for years landed in jail for bilking Medicare and having an unlicensed doctor work for him.
Problem #2 His son took over the practice but couldn't make a go of it. I guess because of his father and he flew the coop without notifying anyone.

There was a very long waiting list for good doctors in our area but I finally got an appointment that I had made weeks before Thanksgiving.. Just before the first visit we were notified that the doctor wasn't available. The hubby ended up with a nurse practitioner.
She did order appropriate tests but they are weeks apart. We did like her though.

Problem #3. My son came down with covid, them me and finally my hubby.
This is prolonging my husbands testing,
We are all pretty sick but hanging on.
Hopefully we will get better soon and my husband will get some answers to his problems. He doesn't feel that he needs to go to the ER at this point.

Not to get into the vaccine debate but it is interesting that my son who refused the vaccine and who we hadn't been in contact with for a few weeks prior to us getting sick had a much milder case than the two of us who were vaccinated.

At this point we are looking for answers and are hoping for a better new year. Not just for us but everyone.

Oh gosh, dear Ruth, I am sorry you are sick, and your hubby too, and your son.
And doctors not readily available.
It's a terribly difficult time for many of us.

I hope you will recover very soon, and your family too!
