Born October 13, 1921 in Jim Thorpe, PA. I took a day trip there 11 years ago and actually stayed at a place that was the address of where my grandfather lived! And yes, they took cash. Jim Thorpe was formerly known as Mauch Chunk and changed the name when the athlete was laid to rest there.
