Those Darn Surveys

You know every time I buy anything, I get those awful stupid/dumb surveys. I never do them but it must be those millennials with their idiot phones who keep bothering me. Today, I bought a knife set at Canadian (Crappy) Tire. I get a request to do a survey how they are doing. Whenever I order Gunsmoke or some other DVD from Amazon, about 2 weeks later I get the very annoying request to comment on how I love that Gunsmoke DVD. Chances are good I wouldn't see it for months as I have many other Gunsmokes plus many other great shows. You eat a burger at some crappy joint & they want to know how they are doing? Who is going to pay me for answering those darn surveys? I have a life to live but I find those surveys from the millennials very bothersome. 5 years ago no one really did a survey but now it seems to be a disease with the current generation.

I answer a few of them and ignore the rest.

The other day the folks at Nielsen Ratings sent me a brief survey with a crisp $5.00 bill enclosed so I felt obligated to respond to them.

The shop where I take my car calls me with a brief survey after every visit and continues to call until I finally respond, that one annoys me. It especially annoys me because they never follow up in response to the comments and concerns it just seems to go off into a big pile of other people's comments and concerns.

I like posting reviews of products & services. I sometimes participate in surveys, when I think they're useful.
In fact, I recently received a replacement $300.00 vacuum cleaner after I posted a negative review. Reputable companies care about their products & customer satisfaction & they'll frequently contact the customer & make it right.

Yes, I seldom (read never) respond to them. I believe many businesses sell the data and we get to deal with all the useless mail and emails. The car service ones in particular I ignore unless I had a bad experience.

Tell them if they don't stop you will be going elsewhere Aunt Bea!

I bought an iron a couple of years ago and was asked to comment
on my purchase! I said "It's an Iron and you can't stop the steam", I
never got asked again from that store, Debenhams.
