That list pretty well sums up my early childhood. It was an awesome era for sure. Whatever happened to the drive-in theaters and restaurants? Whatever happened to school dances and record hops at fire halls? Whatever happened to hanging out at the local garage with other guys talking about cars and girls? The past is gone and will never return. God, I sure do miss those days. 
I went to our monthly retired Troopers’ breakfast a few weeks back and we spoke about a fellow Trooper who had just passed away. I made the statement “Dying Sucks.” I am not ready to die because I still have things I want to do. If I die before I do these things, it would be a tragedy to me. Of course, spiritually, I am always prepared to meet God, but I’m just not ready to meet Him until I finish my work here.
