The Spanish flu killed 100 million people world wide... think about that 100 million people... 228,000 people died in the UK alone, mainly young people.. of which my grandparents were... they were all in their teens at the time ... but every one of them survived. All four of my grandparents lived through the Spanish flu epidemic. Three of the four worked through it too. No lockdowns then. There couldn't be. Tough people.![]()
Of course the Spanish Flu was all the more devastating following immediately after Word War 1 ended.. killing so many of the young who survived the war and devastating families worldwide...
However all that said.. can you imagine if there had been no Spanish flu ( much less 4 years prior of world war)..?.. just imagine if all those people had lived and what the population explosion would be today....
