September is finally here ... the first month of the fall season. The Autumnal equinox will be on the 22nd, but the first of the month is the start of fall for me.

I'm already seeing leaves change on some trees along with the corn & soy beans turning in the neighboring fields. The temperature for the last week has been nice & fall like, 70's during the day & 50's at night. Since this is my favorite time of year, it can't ever last too long.

Post your favorite pictures, tell about the things you like to do, what's fall to you or whatever fall-like things that you enjoy!

Fall is a beautiful season. The days often are sunny and warm with a clear blue sky, but in the evening you need a fleece shirt.
The sleep is better than at hot nights during summer.
Here in Northwestern Hungary the trees had plentiful of fruits this July and August.
The evenings are very quiet, it's a blessing in comparison to our former garden in Germany.
We don't like much noise.
In October we'll visit Esterházy Palace, only some miles away.

The trees are just beginning to turn here in Nashville Tennessee. We had brutal temps through the middle of last month….head indexes over 100! But the sudden dip in temps later in August that are still holding has been a welcome relief, but Tennesseans are suspicious too 🤣

It’s never this cool this early in the season so even though temps continue mild through the 10 day forecasts, everyone's expecting another brutal upswing in temps before they finally stabilize.

Fall is definitely purely my favorite season!🍂🍁

What Fall means to me...

Drain the irrigation hoses and stretch out straight on a downhill slope.
Cut down the tall grasses, rake and either burn or bag. Otherwise, next spring those tall grasses will be packed down by months of snow and raking will be much more difficult.
Gather and put away tools (shovels, rakes, shovels, pole saws, shovels, trimmers, and did I mention shovels?).
Drag outdoor furniture, wheel barrows and other things that won't fit anywhere else into the gazebo, and cover with heavy tarps.
Add an extra layer of plastic on the outside of certain windows.
Prune back any long, dangling branches that snow will weight down and probably break.
Once the water level in the creek goes down, get in there and move some large rocks to underneath the other side of the bank, which has been eroded and threatens the trees that are growing on the edge.
Tag the trees that are dead or dying to be taken down during the winter. Once the deciduous leaves fall, it is difficult to know which ones they are.

I love Fall. Really.

I was just out for a bit, to throw bird food and refill water
for critterss, and I am observing the leaves just beginning
to change over to fall colors....

@GoodEnuff, your list sounds similar to mine.

This week I have to go out into my main pasture & kill the invading pompas grass that has blown seeds in from where it is growing wild along the interstate. It showed up last year & I tried killing it, but it came back again.
