Time to watch the news

Personally, I think I've just "aged out" of the news. That is, the vast majority of it is irrelevant to me, and the rest just indulges peoples propensity for outrage.

The is not ours, or mine. It is passed time for younger generations to take up the reins and control their own destiny. I can no longer be upset by it, I've had my time.

I think it was about in the '80s when we had that major recession and I was watching the news program where this one woman was making these doll clothing and some of them got as high as $5,000.

The reporter who was talking about it said "With all the problems of today, spending 5,000 on a dress is rather ridiculous"

It was at that point I got pretty upset because I wanted the news I didn't want someones personal opinions. It just showed to me that this was the first instance of what later would become our news organizations, where facts don't really matter but the opinions or feelings do.

I read Raw Story. It is the epitome of the absurd. Kind of like the Mad Magazine of news. The comment section is insane.
You might like the Beaverton, which is a Canadian news SATIRE program. If find that some Americans have difficulty seeing the difference between comedy takes on real news stories, and actual news that is delivered with an opinion.
