Ting- inexpensive service provider

When I got my cellphone, I needed a service provider. I know squat about that. Consumer Reports recommended Ting. Ting? Never heard of it. It does the same as any other service provider. I get the plan with the least amount of giga things, and I've never used it all. And, with tax, I pay $18.39/month.

Looks as low as $10/month without data. No idea about the company history or projected longevity though.
