As my middle son grew up he was always curious about how things work. If he wasn't working with me on something he was taking things apart to see how they worked.
That interest in all things electrical & mechanical paid off. He had a business that he sold. It was converting vans to customer needs/wants custom camper vans. They sold their business & their conversion van. That sold for a hefty profit. They bought a Chevy van for towing, storage of emergency generator, tools, & misc stuff. This is the kind of trailer.
Best Enclosed Trailers - Buy Factory Direct At USA Cargo Trailer (ad 700) - USA Cargo Trailer
The buyer let him use the shop to convert the trailer he bought. It didn't have windows, it does now. He had to remove the lighting the side paneling to insulate & wire it to what he wanted. All counters, cabinets, shelves storage bins, floor sticky back tile, TV mount, staining, painting, lighting, electrical wiring, solar panel installation with battery, water for sink & shower, heating & 5000 btu a/c took about two weeks.
They live off the grid traveling whenever & wherever they want. National parks with free camp sites keep the cost way down. Resupply water at gas stations free, no taxes for property, no utility bills & senior plan with T-Mobile is their major cost. Gas is another cost but that is minimal since they can park free for two weeks. Then they can park for free at a Walmart parking lot And go back & start another two week stay.
