"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times"

Full disclosure I've never read a Dickens novel cover to cover. I just think that's a really cool line.

I did read a couple of the Classic Comic book versions when I was a kid. But as for books my childhood favorite authors were Jack London, Jules Verne, and Robert Heinlein.

As for movies one of my favorites based on a Dickins novel is the 1998 version of Great Expectaions staring Ethan Hawke and Gwyneth Paltrow. A lot of it was filmed in the Sarasota/Manatee area of Florida which i near where I was born and raised. And Ethan Hawke is a favorite actor of mine.

I think it's a great movie. But since I never read the book I can't tell you how close it follows it. Lol!
