Today is back to the ASCA to serve lunch.

ASCA stands for Amarillo Senior Center of Amarillo and I serve lunch there twice a week. I help serve lunch. I love serving at the center. I am also head of a card playing group. I really just get everything out and at the end of the day, I put everything up. Of course, I get lots of help and makes lots of wonderful friends!

Same here. And a lot of the services--especially recreational, fun stuff--for seniors was fading away even before Covid.

We didn't, until the city and state lifted the closures. Some still wear masks and some don't. I do.

Yes, I used to have 34 people in our card playing group and now we are down to 6-8. (!)

It is rewarding! Before COVID hit, I was volunteering at the hospital, senior center, church, a lot of volunteer work. Feels good to give back.

I have been a stay at home mom and housewife my entire married life and now that my oldest daughter is moved out and married and my youngest is pretty much going to get engaged very soon and will be moving in with her boyfriend by this Summer that will just leave the nest to me and my husband. My husband works some late hours as an Anesthesiologist at the local hospital and I am possibly looking into volunteering at a Senior Center, My Church, or Hospital.
