Today is Mac & Cheese Day!!

In my book the best mac and cheese was from "Chick-fil-A" until Stinky moved in and threw down with a pan of baked macaroni with the top nice and burned or is it burnt brown? Kirin was salivating until we told her that she's too young to eat such unhealthy food and to finish her rice and peas. ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!! Is that so wrong?
 
When I was growing up in the 50s my mom called it baked macaroni, it was made with cheddar cheese, milk and a generous topping of breadcrumbs dotted with butter, It was baked in the oven until it was nicely browned,
My dad and I would always try to get most of the topping.
It was never served as a side but as the main meal with a salad,
that's how I grew up having Mac & Cheese, always topped with Cheese ( not breadcrumbs)..and baked in the oven until Brown and crispy... it's how I make it to this day..( no milk tho'..I like it to be firm and not sloppy)
