I need a chain saw to cut through my toenails. I have tried all the different OTC meds to get rid of the fungus and I am not about to spend the big bucks on Laser Treatments or advertised prescription meds.

I had this fungus perhaps 20 years ago....and the doctor prescribed Lamisil. I can't remember the price, but it wasn't very much...back then. As I recall, it took about 2 months for the nails to begin to return to normal, and I haven't had any problems since.

I had it years ago when I was still working, and the over-the-counter FungiNail liquid worked for me. I didn't let it get too far though, so it never got that bad. Applied it twice a day until it was gone, and dried really good after showers, etc. so there wasn't any excess moisture....probably what brought it on in the first place, showering in the morning and rushing off to work. I heard Lamisil is hard on your liver, I prefer not to use pharmaceutical drugs unless absolutely necessary.

My husband has this going on right now in one foot. He doesn't have the coordination to clip his toes anymore so it's on me. I'm using the over the counter stuff at the moment. If I can clear up the icky stuff I'm personally taking him to the nail place around the way. There are men that go there quite often for a nail buff or pedicure. No shame there and the ladies do a perfect job. A nice leg massage and tools I don't have. Really, a professional pedicure can make you a new person:D

Although I haven't tried it yet Vicks is also what my doctor has told me to use.......he's of the opinion that I already take enough damn prescription and non prescription pills daily. :)
