Unless I just can't, I'd rather go home (if it's not too far away). I know how many times the paper has been on the floor & returned.
And, (after a rash 20 years ago from a workplace bathroom), I keep some alcohol pads in my car to wipe the seat.

I rip a little of it off, (a couple of squares) to discard, and then, use the next sections.

I do. But I tear off a few pieces and wipe off the toilet seat first. Herpes virus can be transmitted fairly easily by liquid, i.e. urine. But I feel a dry seat is relatively safe.
