too early?

In todays world, being familiar with computers is essential. However, it doesn't do to be completely dependant on modern technology, so an old-fashioned easel with a box of paints would also be a good idea. Children like to get messy and that doesn't happen with a computer.

I had a proto-computer when I was a kid that was basically a simple, scaled-down punch card reader called ā€œThink-A-Tronā€ (1960). You slipped a card with a quiz question into it, then punched an A, B, C, or D key to submit your answer. Lights flashed as it ā€œprocessedā€ your answer…not exactly a laptop or tablet, lucky kids these days!

Oh! I remember those. My cousin had one in the early '60's. I was very impressed by it.

Monkeys have no problem operating IPhones. They like to pull up animal videos. So, I think a human kid can use a tablet. Plus the kid's entire life will be "interfacing" with computers. Get 'em used to it, early.

didn't I just read in another thread yalls complaining about kids not learning in school because of to much electronic gizmos? and now you wanna give a 4 yr old a tablet?
