Gen Xers who grew up on the Batman TV series, Scooby-Doo, Mighty-Morphin Power Rangers, Mutant Ninja Turtles, and other Pop-Culture stuff, have popularized toy photography.
Some have become expert at it, and some are even famous for it...within that niche.
A basically life-long friend of my sons is one of the "famous" toy photographers.
Here's some he took during a recent vacation in Oregon, on the coast, in a tide-pool during low tide. Those are real starfish and anemones.
