Trash Not Picked Up This Week

Trash pick-up here is Wednesday. This is Friday and it still hasn't been removed. And it isn't just me. I see my neighbors, who have the same company, still have their bins out. I've called twice and all they say is "Leave your bins out and we'll try to get there." By the time they get their act together, it will be trash day again.

I don't suppose they will give me credit on the next bill for the missed pick-up. I'm paying $90+ a month - I shoudl get better sevice. When was at my former residence, they often missed pick-ups. That's what happens when one company has a virtual monopoly in an area.

They just came around! 60 hours late.

I'm glad they finally picked it up! I would have been worried about it too, and worried about smells and insects.

They weren't using the external bin lift pick up. Guys were walking behind the truck and emptying the bins by hand. I surmise that truck trouble was behind the delay. Good thing this isn't mid-summer.

Well at least it's not summertime. It's no fun smelling garbage that's been sitting for days when it's hot. Glad they finally came Deb.

Nice to have the mystery solved.

I got a letter from my trash company changing my day from Friday to Wednesday and specifically saying it would be picked up on Friday 1st then on Wed 6th, but then they never showed on Friday. I brought it back in until Wed because it was windy.

Then yesterday I discovered a big new trash can beside my house and called them and turns out they have now gotten the truck with the automatic pickup arm so I need to use the can they brought. It is really big, will be interesting to see how easy it will be to take it to the street (have long country driveway).
