Trip to the pharmacy, it is a mad house.

I ran around to pick up meds for nausea and some allergy eye drops. I have a Walgreens and CVS just around the corner. They sit on opposite sides of of an intersection. Those parking lots were jammed full. I always carry a mask, that I put on before I went in. I was expecting to see the pharmacy and medicine aisles full.

No, it was mostly younger men doing their Christmas shopping, pushing their carts around. Lots of ladies will be getting perfume, candles, house shoes, throws and candy. Yes, they did wait until the last minute but seem intent on getting nice things. I have not been keeping up, maybe the drug stores will be closed tommorrow or closing early. They already had christmas decorations 50% off.

Just wanted to mention, if you need anything, medicine wise, now is the time!! No one wants to feel sick on Christmas day/

My daughter is a pharmacist at CVS and she is seeing folks mad at her as they have waited until now to get their meds refilled and the doctors are off several days and some how its her fault. I started checking my meds a few weeks ago to make sure I am good until past the Holidays.

I get it, I let something go, I thought I still had a refill but I did not. Not the doctors or pharmacists fault. I just did not have my reading glasses on when I looked at it. I saw a 1 and thought it was the refill left.

a face mask to avoid germs, our flu and RSV are very bad in the area. It was not one of those full face knitted masks, I was not planning a robbery! LOL
It has a lot to do with crowded stores. CVS is crowded with folks and some of them are acting out due to the stress. And they are not wearing masks. Thank God Christmas is tomorrow and it will be over until New Years and it starts again. Hope all of you have a blessed day with family and friends this Holy Week.

Well it's always someone else's fault when someone can't plan ahead. :( People sure can project their crap on others, sadly.

I think everyone knows who messed up, normally it is me. I am not going to put that on anyone else. I love my doctor, my pharmacy, they both do the right things for me but sometimes I mess up and wait to the last minute or do not realize I am out of refills.

The point of my post was to point out that the drug stores were packed with people buying last minute gifts, not sick people needing OTC meds or prescriptions filled.

The thing is, people with normal brains know when they don't do something, forget, leave things to the last minute, etc.. But it's the people with the brains not based in reality that will project and blame someone else. Anyone. Pick the scapegoat. I was raised by someone with such a brain so I get it.

My husband has a few prescriptions that can't be refilled until he only has a couple days of medication left - he has no option but to wait.
