Damit! Was bringing in the trash cans from the road, got to going too fast downhill, lost control and crashed in the wall of a shed. Banged up my arm very nicely. *^%&#!!! Now I'm not begging for sympathy (okay maybe a little) but just want to spread that usual advice for us old folks to be extra careful.🤕

Never can be too careful .. whether indoors or out. Take care of that arm!

I did a flying fall the other day.
Forgot about the ice in front of barn door.

Going down to replace card in game camera,,looking at it as I walked.,, thinking other things.

Think I looked like a cartoon charter as I fell,, airborne,, THUD.
Laid there,,ouch,, really hit my head hard & left butt cheek.

Finished my chore , hobbled to the house,, told Hubby what I did.
Nothing was broke,, thank goodness.

You've got to watch when you hit your head, that you don't have a concussion!

I notice that walking outdoors, I feel more susceptible to stumbling. Also, my equilibrium seems different to when I'm indoors .. it's a weird sensation. I walk very carefully when outside.

It wasn't a fall, but I had to sit on the floor to adjust brackets in the bottom kitchen cabinet so I could raise the shelf to store taller items in the bottom. With that done, I went to stand, and I couldn't jump up like in the past. It took a calculated process to put feet and hands in the right position and grunt myself upright. When they say "Help, I've fallen, I can't get up." believe it, and I hadn't fallen.

Yep, did the same flying cartoon flop on my back three times last year. Also relieved nothing broke but it sure was a reminder to watch my step on the slippery ground.

Remembering how we used to laugh at those old commercials and now I struggle to get up or down. Sneaks up on ya.

I've taken a couple of flyers in the past couple of years and it wasn't pretty. My son nearly fainted when he saw my face. It went away each time, but I seem to have a penchant for falling flat on my face, just tripping over a match stick.

I have to be extra careful when using a ladder. Last year, I was doing some work in the basement, and when I stepped off the ladder, I missed the bottom step and crashed to the floor.....raking my arm on a sharp shelf corner. I was bleeding pretty badly, and wrapped my arm in a towel to keep from leaving a blood trail. When I cleaned it up and took a good look, My wife wrapped it up in a bunch of gauze bandages, and we headed for the hospital....where they had to put about 15 stiches in.

I have to keep reminding myself that I'm no longer young, and need to be extra careful when doing some of my chores.
