Trips to Switzerland for assisted sucicide are up!

It seems that this is a very appealing method to check out as it is legal and definite. I would consider a trip should my end look long and drawn out as I always wanted to visit Switzerland and I might avoid a possible botched attempt at home. And please don't try to sell me hospice care...

I think in cases of terminal illness where there is no quality of life
and the patient is in terrible pain, then there should be doctor assisted right to die.
For many a trip to Switzerland is out of the question due to finances and their deteriorated state of health.
Many patients lay in bed for months, helpless with no hope, and nothing they can do to end the agony.

Perhaps benefits could be held to defray the costs of the trips...

I understand you can have assisted suicide in Oregon, so I'd go there, a lot cheaper. Hopefully by the time I would be interested in it for myself, it will be legal in my state also.

I believe states that allow it have a residency requirement of at least six months so that they won't have "tourist" suicides...

Three or four states allow for it. Unfortunately, mine does not...
