Trouble starting over with a post

I'm finding that if I've started a post with an attachment, such as a picture, and I want to change it, I can't seem to eliminate the item I've attached to the draft. I know I can avoid clicking "Post", but I haven't found a technique for getting rid of an attached item.

Even getting rid of the whole previewed stage itself seems a mystery. Sometimes I'd like to just start over with a fresh post template, but the previewed draft seems to persist.

What do I need to know? Thanks.

Doesn't it work by going down to the little thumbnail pic under the full-sized pic and clicking on the little trash can in the upper right corner of the little pic?

(I just now tried it on this reply and it seems to have worked.)

About getting rid of the whole previewed stage? Not sure what you mean; do you mean you're not able to just delete all you wrote, either by selected it all and using the Delete key on your keyboard or the Backspace key?

Thanks for the tip about using the trash can in the upper right, for the image. In my case (could be the browser I use, or maybe my laptop), in the preview stage things become rather written in stone... with no deletion succeeding using my delete key.

But mainly I was concerned about being able to delete an attachment. Because I've understood how using the Edit function, once a post is made, I can change the text I originally wrote.

I notice when u hit "reply" the original post repeats itself. Really annoying. Must remember to scroll to the comments section where I can reply without repeating the original post. Must be a glitch.
