Trying something new....

Looking at your picture reminds me that in June this year we went speed boat racing in Spain, and then we para-glided over the Med. Although I'd done the latter many years ago, hubs hadn't so it was a first time for him. he'd always refused to do it, thinking he wouldn't enjoy it, but he was pleasantly surprised

I built a free-standing RV shelter of nothing but 2" PVC pipe, with a tarp and bungee roof, two months ago. It was an interesting challenge, and looked great, until I learned, the hard way, that when temps get below fifty degrees, and the wind above 10 mph, PVC is very prone to major breaks unless it's firmly installed in conventional ways. Fun experience, though, up until the necessary take-down.

I'm trying something new as I peck this.

Mama noticed that a local store ran a sale ad yesterday and they had Folgers Classic coffee on sale for about 1/2 the price that we normally pay for Maxwell House.....the limit per person is two but we only bought one to give it a try.

As far as I'm concerned it's pretty darn good coffee especially at just 1/2 the price so I imagine we'll be headed back to the store to pick up a few more later this morning.

yup

That pic reminds me.

My buddy actually has a hot air balloon

Hung over the tailgate and watched him fiddle with the envelope and basket, ignoring his invitations for a ride

Never ever ever ever would I go up with him
He’s flat out nuts

Heh, after taking folks up, when he lands, he jumps outa the basket, falls on his face, and kisses the ground, thanking Gawd.
The ground guy, following, is hiding

‘They usually don’t go up again’, he sez

Quite the joker

Living not too far from the worst, small, hot air balloon accident in US history, I'm always glad I never went up in one that wasn't tethered. Even in the tethered one, forty feet up, where I played a strange gig, it was weird. I have no problem being sixty feet up in a tree, gunning a chainsaw six inches from my face, but I trust my harness, rope and tie-in point.

Probably clamming in Oregon when my daughter still lived there. We had so much fun. I also tried out my Grandsons Hover board last Christmas. I didn't hover very long. I do try different foods and brands throughout the year if I can buy a small amount and its on sale.

Hmm...let's see.
I paddle boarded earlier this summer, I'd never done that before.

I learned the Bachata...a latin dance I'd always wanted to know how to do, and finally did it a bit ago.

Ron introduced me to Long Island Iced Tea! Never had one before though I would have sworn that over time I'd had every popular drink known to man even though I usually just sip on wine.

Oh! I learned how to operate a ... damn what do you call it? .... an electric hammer? Um..a power nail driver? Damn. Well, I know how to use it, I just can't remember what it's called! :aargh:

I went ziplining back in August for my sister's 50th birthday. We had a blast. I'll do it again.
