Trying to submit address changes was a huge PAIN

I thought I could keep my post office box, but when I spoke with a different postal clerk yesterday, he said if there's a mailbox at my new residence, then no. That's not what the woman postal clerk said that I asked several weeks ago.

Especially difficult was the SSA (Social Security Admin.). Took almost an hour there. They ask questions that I don't have immediate answers to and had to stop and look it up. I suppose it's for security, but SHEESH!

WTH?!? of course you can have a P.O. box even if you have one at your home...
 

Moving and changing ;addresses is Always challenging. it's easy to forget some sources you use, and the best thing to do is fill out a change of address form at the old PO, then monitor your mail to see if you forgot anything. The last time we moved, I probably had to update a half dozen items I'd overlooked, in the first couple of months after moving.

Yes, that sounds like what the postal clerk intimated yesterday. Since there was no door delivery at my old house, we had to get a PO box,

I tried to change my address online at the USPS page, but a a credit card is needed - they charge for it if you do it online. Pikers!
 
I call BS. As a fellow New Yorker, I have had both, a PO box and Physical address. My niece does too, She uses her PO box as her primary address, and still gets deliveries at her home as well.
Deb, I would push the issue. Even if you have to get a bit pissy and ask them to SHOW you the rules.

About SSA, I'm glad they are so security conscience. I get my checks "Direct Deposit" into my account. I got a letter telling me that I redirected my checks to be mailed to some address in Iowa. ( I'm in PA.) It was obvious somebody hacked into my account and redirected my checks. If it wasn't for that letter, I would have not known about it, till I noticed I wasn't getting checks. I would have lost that money. I now have a block on my SSA account.
But I know the hassle of changing things. My Internet Servive Provider is changing its name, and I'm getting a NEW email address-YEAH!!!!!!!!
