TV video pixelates a lot on some channels

Seems to me if it was a problem with my equipment, the problem would be seen equally on each channel. Some channels are almost unwatchable and some it hardly ever happens. I even emailed one network, but the reply was that they were "operating at maximum efficiency". The cable service is at a loss to explain it only to offer to have a technicial come out and check things.

That's fixable, and the cable service should know what the problem is. Hopefully the tech carries a choke and degausser.

Most newer TV’s have a signal information function buried in the menu. While tuned to the offending channel check the level to see if it’s a low level coming into the TV or not. On this TV it’s under Diagnostic, Signal Information.

We have DISH net and get pixalization when there's snow in the dish antenna, and sometimes when there's really dense storm clouds obscuring the satellite signal.

It’s unclear what kind of service you have but it sounds like cable. You could also have a combination of Over The Air & cable. As Nathan pointed out if you have satellite this can happen because of weather and will vary. If you have straight cable then you’ll need to have a tech come out. Otherwise, check you OTA connections. The only thing you need to know about signal information is if it’s locked & you have a couple of bars. If it’s fluctuating then you have a weak signal. Good luck.
