I've kept an inflator in the vehicles, for years. Unless the tire is badly damaged, one of these can get you back on the road within minutes, and allow you to get to a tire shop for a repair/replacement.....a lot handier than trying to install the spare tire, or waiting for roadside assistance.

Mine isn't digital, it has an analog gauge. Was a great help for months when one tire kept losing air. Finally got the tire fixed and what a joy that is.
Yes my one does, and turns off when reached ideal pressure
all my tyres are fine, but I’ve been told I need to get them done every 2 weeks, so I’m paying 5 pound at the garages……,

Once a month should be more than sufficient. Visual check occasionally, if it looks low check it.

Yes, the one I use is a Dewalt and it works off of the same rechargeable batteries as my other power tools. Great tool.

I get the notion that the term 'Tyre inflator' can mean different things. Like you Charry, I have a rechargeable one that is used to top up the car's tyres to the correct pressure. If you have a puncture in a tyre, you replace the wheel with a spare. You do not 'install a spare tyre' (or do you mean wheel?)
I would not buy a car without a spare wheel, jack, wheel wrench etc.. True that most manufacturers don't fit spare wheels as standard, but you can buy them separately.

Same here. The can of "fix-a-flat that some companies are putting in some of the new cars might be good to fix a slow leak, but if the tire sustains any damage, that stuff is of little help. If a new car doesn't have a spare tire, or at least offer it as an option, I would Not be interested in buying it.

I’ve got a Fortem digital inflator…it sure beats riding around and looking for some air when the pressure is low

Not exactly true. Mrs.L has ordered a new car and it has the option of a spare wheel kit (which she chose) or a tyre inflator. The exception is in the dual fuel version where the tyre well is occupied with the LPG tank. For most cars, you can ditch the inflation kit and buy a spare wheel.
You just have to look on-line to see the number of companies that sell spare wheels for nearly any car.

For what one pays for a new car, it should come with a spare wheel, tire, and a robot to put it on and inflate it, and have an option to fly the car home so stupid people can point and laugh because someone doesn't know how to program a robot.
The Mercedes doesnt have that option ….but then ,what I pay for the car, I want someone there , not me changing any wheels lol
I don’t either, never heard of it before, but as I’m the sole driver now, I wouldn’t know what to do with a spare …
