Unbroken

This was a weekend of new films for me. I enjoyed this truly amazing story in book form but the the film dragged out the ocean scenes and prisoner camp scenes. Certainly a better film than "The Interview which I watched on You Tube.

Not interested in Unbroken.. too violent.. Hate films that make me clinch.. We went to see Into The Woods.... a delightful film and great for older kids and adults.. It's a little dark for the younger crew.

It reminds me too much of films like "The Killing Fields." (one of my top films of this genre,) I have to watch such movies at home, just too painful to watch in a group where I know I'll be in tears too much of the time. I'm sure it's a wonderful film, it looks to be, I'm just not up to the emotional drain, I save these types for home viewing.

I don't want to pay money to be emotionally drained. Who the heck wants to walk out of a theater feeling depressed and grossed out? Well.. not me anyway. I will only see films that are uplifting and entertaining. I also like biographic films... The Theory of Everything was wonderful!

Lon, did you think The Interview was worth all the hype that surrounded it? I don't care to see it myself, but wondered what you thought.

The Interview was not what everyone hyped it up to be. In my book, it was a dud. I would rather have been flying.
