Unforgettable TV dramas based on real crime

We just watched The Sixth Commandment and I must say it was a fine drama that will haunt me forever. Has anyone seen this?

I do love Timothy Spall, what a great actor he is. Another drama he did many years ago called 'Pierrepoint' lingers in my head. About the famous hangman.

Watching dramas based on real crime cases are so powerful. But I do like them to stick to the facts and not descend into nonsense as so many do - certainly not the Hollywood treatment.

The Sixth Commandment
Brilliant U.K Crime series, 2023 as only the British can do1
Follows the deaths of Peter Farquhar and Ann Moore-Martin in the village of Maids Moreton, Buckinghamshire, and the extraordinary events that unfolded in the following years. TRAILER LINK BELOW

I've heard all good things about the sixth Commandment , but I can't bring myself to watch it.. because Timothy Spall makes me feel ill.. he's so gross...

Oh dear why? He has had health challenges and surely remains one of our best actors. He certainly plays this part beautifully and sensitively. It's a great cast and the whole drama is really very well done.

I watched it all in one go on Iplayer , excellent acting , but so sick , that the evil one would do such a thing , You wouldnt want to share a cell with him .

Another series ive watch all in one go on Iplayer and was excellent is What Remains , a fiction , from 2013 , I missed it back then but im glad I found it last weekend .

his health challenges are relatively recent... nothing to do with why I don't like him... I know him from as far back as Auf Wiedersehen, Pet when he was. a fat dribbling, second rate actor... he makes my skin crawl

Ah well, we cannot all like the same.
I feel he has developed into a fine actor over the years, with a wide range.

I loved Auf Weiderson Pet, it was very well written and apt of that era.

The Sixth Commandment is a drama that is a huge warning to the elderly.
You really are better off living alone, if that is your lot. Living a quiet orderly life.
Many issues are brought into focus by this excellent and haunting drama based on a true case.
