This year the Belmont will be virtually in my backyard. To be held at Saratoga Racecourse. It will be a madhouse up there, like on Travers Day.

Will be broadcast on the FOX network starting at 4 pm EDT (probably 2 pm your time). Of course they have to interview every owner, trainer and jockey beforehand.

The back story is what makes the races so fun. It is an expensive and dangerous sport…and very unpredictable. Hope it continues forever

Dornoch was the log shot winner of Belmont race. Favorite Sierra Leone placed (3rd). Other top contenders Seize the Grey and Mytick Dan finished 7th and 8th respectively in a field of 10.

The surprise winner paid $37 on a two dollar bet. The horse's owner gets HALF of the prize money, after the IRS gets their cut. Here in Canada ALL gambling winnings are TAX FREE. Yep, if you buy a winning lottery ticket ( AND you live in Canada ) you get to keep every dollar you win. JimB.
