Uploading photos not working

I wonder if each member has a limit on uploads. I don't see it in the profile info here, but maybe this site doesn't display it to us.

So, both .jpg and .gif worked. Not sure what's happening with your images. Since you mentioned "photos", I'll assume they're .jpgs, but I could be wrong. Maybe ask @Matrix?

Believe me, PP. Your photo of the country road leading to a place I do not fear is one of my important treasures. It's like you took it just for me. The lighting is spectacular, the shading, the angle of the road, the trees, the sky, the clouds, the feeling of peace it gives me, I just love it so much. Everyone comments on how pretty it is.

If someone asks where it is from I say "My Friend took it."

Got to find about this too. I've always found there to be a limit of 5 per post.

Nope, something is changed but I'll bet I can go through Flickr to post a photo.

Yep.

I'm not sure how to get photos straight from my phone into jpeg (or other acceptable format) but I'm used to needing to use a hosting service for sharing photos online. I remember being surprised to learn I didn't need to here. But I'm sure it costs something and since the forums are free (a very good price) I'm happy to do as I do everywhere else that I post pictures. It has always been free to open a Flickr account though I've since made mine a pro account (not cheap).

Pretty sure doing it this way will eliminate the 5 photo limit per post, unless there is another guideline I'm unaware of .

PP, obviously the way you are trying to perform uploading images is likely the problem or others would have already complained. So explain what you are doing in some detail so others can start to help you.

Note many web forums have image file upload limits of maximum file sizes and numbers of images. Otherwise in early web years past, some would dump the whole contents of their camera photo memories onto sites, even junk images, as a cheap way to store them. Given the default image output sizes in top smartphone cameras today, trying to load huge 4k to 8k size images into websites chokes Internet bandwidth. There is value in learning how to minimally crop and or reduce out of camera file sizes as well as numbers of web sites that will perform that service online without requiring device resident applications.

Not sure what happened, but your comment is unreadable to those of us using the dark theme
