It appears the sponson, just aft of the No. 3 elevator is damaged. The unanswered question is whether that 3rd elevator if operational. Also, it is possible more damage further aft, than the released photos are showing.

The global ship tracking system was not in operation on the Truman, and there is debate as to whether it was required. In theory, when near or transiting the Suez Canal, it should be operational.
