Utah man charged for sunbathing nude in his yard

News, Utah man charged for sunbathing nude in his yard

A judge is issuing an arrest warrant for a 77-year-old Utah man who police say was sunbathing nude in his backyard next to a church parking lot.

Police say several parents said their children could see him, but Kipp told an officer he could do want he wanted on his property.

Yeah, I can imagine that would cause a stir in Utah, especially next to a church. California, now....that's another matter. Remember the young man who was allowed to wander around Berkeley nude, attending class in the nude and all that?

When I was young, there was a man who had a large yard next to our church. I never found out why he disliked us, but he just HAD to mow his lawn every Sunday morning, starting just as the first service started. Then he'd take a break during Sunday School and mow the lawn *again* during second service. Our minister talked to him with no avail and the police were consulted, but they said he was within his rights to mow the lawn during daylight hours. The church scout troop even offered to mow his lawn on Saturday, but noooooo. That meant that the windows on that side of the church had to be closed and this was waaay before the church put in air conditioning. That made for some *warm* Sundays. I guess we should have been glad he didn't feel the need to mow in the nude, huh?

Sometimes, certain things just CAN'T be done, even on a person's own property. If people can see/hear what going on, and complain to law enforcement about it, they can, and should, investigate into it. People will use all kinds of excuses, including "it's my property, I can do whatever I want on it" to be able to do anything they want. WRONG!!

If it's contrary to law then he broke a law.If he wants to 'hang out' in his yard where he's screened then more power to him. Sun bathing isn't good for you though.

My Lord, I hope this isn't a senior citizen! I hadn't wanted to sunbath in the nude since I had the "body of youth". I would need to starch and
iron my body before I could do that.

At my age, "tan lines" would be the wrinkles and sags!!!

True story... I work outside and I also play quite a bit of golf. A couple years ago, my wife insisted I get a new wrist watch. We went to our friend's jewelry store and began to look at the selection. I settled on one and decided to try it on. When I took off the old watch, the young lady assisting us began trying to stiffle a laugh. I told her that, evidently, she had never seen a "farmer's tan". She said, "I've never seen such a color difference between hands and arms and where a wrist watch is worn. I can only imagine what the rest...." She hesitated and began to really blush. I told her, "Yep! Anything that's covered is just as white as that spot where my wrist watch was. And, at my age, your 'imagination' will do nothing but cause nightmares!"

At 77 years of age I don't think there is much doubt he is a senior citizen.

You can't do anything you like in your own yard,........ Bull baiting, ? Anything that is against the law is out, and I imagine that includes sunbathing nude where you can be seen by the general public.Anyway, why didn't he grow some tall trees around the property, then he could do what he liked.
