Verizon 'throttled' or regulated the use of data services of emergency workers fighting fires in California. Some had unlimited data plans. It affected what should've been routine communications

Verizon even suggested they upgrade their plan.

Emergency services have their services capped during an emergency yet these same companies like Verizon cry the blues when they can't put up a tower where they're shouldn't be one frequently under the guise to provide better 911 services.

This is just dumb. Not only did Verizon screw over those trying to save us, but because of that stupid move they now have nationwide bad publicity. This was really a bad move, on their part. I'd be willing to bet that a group of Verizon employees are frantically trying to make the changes that will prevent something like this from happening again.
